One Electrocuted, Two Others Nabbed For Cable Theft
The Ogun State Police Command who confirmed the electrocution, said the man was cutting the cable that belongs to the Ibadan Electricity Distribution Company when the incident happened.
A staff member of the IBEDC at the Owode Egba branch reported the matter to the police.
The Public Relations Officer of the command, Omolola Odutola, noted that the “corpse has been taken to the Ogun State Teaching Hospital Sagamu for autopsy.”
Similarly, two casual staff members of the Quantum Packaging Company, Igbesa, were arrested for allegedly stealing a cable suspected to belong to the company.
The suspects were first apprehended by the Chief Security Officer of the company, Okoi Akilepo, who was on a foot patrol at the tme, before they were handed over to the police.
The Police PRO said both suspects had confessed to the crime.
