A female passenger has reportedly sustained an arm injury after escaping an accident in the Ijetu Area along Ilesa-Garage Road in Osogbo, as a car plunged into a roadside ditch.
The car, a Toyota Corolla with registration number KNR-618-AE, was said to be coming from the Africa area, in the town, when it suddenly lost control and swerved into the ditch.
The three occupants of the car, two males and one female were quickly rescued by passersby and other motorists who happened to be plying the road at the same time.
Our correspondent, who happened to be at the scene of the accident at the time noted the female occupant sustained an arm injury while the driver and the other man in the passenger’s seat were not injured.
An eyewitness who preferred anonymity said ‘the cause of the accident was unknown as the car suddenly lost its grip and overturned noting that overspeeding may not be ruled off.
The three occupants have, however, been taken to the hospital for treatment.
