A foremost Osun based business woman and Chief Executive Officer, Yinka Oba Foams Nigeria Limited, Dr Eunice Olayinka Obaleye has rated the administration of Governor Rauf Aregbesola of the state of Osun as the best since the creation of the state.
Obaleye lauded the tremendous achievements recorded by the Aregbesola in almost eight years of his administration, arguing that it is only an enemy of progress and development that will criticize the current government in the state.
She made the statement while playing a host on the Governor and his entourage who were on a congratulatory visit to her residence in Ilesa on the celebration of her 80th birthday.
The octogenarian, who gave Aregbesola a pass mark in all sectors of governance, said his administration has lifted Osun from the shackles of retrogression and under development to a state which is the cynosure of all eyes.
Obaleye, a Member of the Order of Niger (MON) commended the leadership quality of Governor Aregbesola which she described as a driving force to all round growth and development that Osun has witnessed over the years.
Commending the Governor for building an enabling business atmosphere for investors to thrive in the state, Obaleye acknowledged the state for putting in place business-friendly policies.
She said the present administration has opened windows of opportunities for all to survive with the implementation of its pro-masses policies, actions and programmes.
According to her, Aregbesola’s administration has justified the tenets of democracy through the prompt and timely implementation of his policies and programmes.
Obaleye said: “As for me, our governor has set the pace for others to emulate, considering the positive impacts the government has made in the lives of the citizenry.
The state has provided the residents particularly business men and women a conducive atmosphere to succeed, a feat that no one has made since the creation of the state.
“We have never had it so good like this before. Many have governed the state since its creation and as a matter of fact, none of them did an average of what God has used Governor Aregbesola to do.
“There is no doubt that Governor Aregbesola has made our collective dreams as citizens a reality, he has refined and redefined our history for better as we can see in all his good works across sectors.”
In his remarks, Aregbesola commended Obaleye for contributing to the state’s economy through her huge investment, describing the business tycoon as a great entrepreneur whose economic impact has affected positively
the lives of the people in the state.
Aregbesola said: “We are here to celebrate with the family of Mrs Obaleye for her enormous contribution to socioeconomic and commercial activities in the state with which had brought massive employment opportunities for the teeming Osun indigenes.
“The celebrant has demonstrated high sense of commitment to the economic renaissance in the state, hence the need for personal visit with which we have honoured today.
“There is no doubt in the fact that a woman of substance epitomized by Dr. Obalaye is rare because not everyone that is rich knows that he or she needs to invest in his or her state as being done by the celebrant.”
