While Queens Park Rangers will mark 100 years since they first called Loftus Road their home against Ipswich Town in the Sky Bet Championship on Saturday, the game will also hold special significance for skipper Nedum Onuoha.
Should Ian Holloway select the center-back this weekend, the 30-year-old will play his 200th game for QPR, becoming the third player to pass a double ton of matches for the club this century after Martin Rowlands and Kevin Gallen.
Onuoha moved to west London from Manchester City in January 2012 for an undisclosed fee and linked up with his former boss at the Citizens, Mark Hughes, who was then in charge of the Rs.
The defender made his QPR debut in a 2-2 draw at Aston Villa in February 2012 and spent the rest of the campaign helping the W12 outfit stay up in the Premier League.
The next season, though, was a struggle for the West Londoners as they were relegated back to the Championship.
QPR soon bounced back from that disappointment, with Onuoha netting his first club goal on the first day of the 2013/14 campaign that culminated in the club winning promotion back to the Premier League through the playoffs.
The following season was another one of struggle as Rs failed to keep their place in the top flight.
At the start of the 2015/16 season back in the Championship, Onuoha was named permanent captain – a role he has held ever since.
The Rs have also remained in the second tier since then, with the man is known as ‘The Chief’ a regular fixture at the back.
And having experience plenty of highs and lows during his time at Loftus Road, Onuoha will have plenty to reflect on when he passes that 200-game mark.
