The Ooni of Ife, Ooni Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi Ojaja II on Tuesday sent a powerful delegation of Frontline monarchs to congratulate Governor Gboyega Oyetola on the validation of his mandate by the Supreme Court July 5th ruling.
The representatives of Osun Council of Obas who were led by the Ogiyan of Ejigbo, Oba Omowonuola Oyeyode Oyesosin, congratulated the Governor on the well deserved Supreme Court victory and pledged their unflinching support to his administration on behalf of all Osun kingdoms starting from Ile Ife which is the source of the Yoruba race.
Speaking on behalf of the monarchs at the Office of Governor, Abeere, The Ogiyan of Ejigbo implored Governor Gboyega Oyetola to hold firm his faith in Almighty God, a factor which obviously worked for him, enjoining him to continually call his creator at all times.
Oba Oyesosin admonished the governor to follow his manifestoes and deliver on the job as expected with utmost sincerity.
He said ” our Father, the Ooni of Ife said we should assure you of all our support and to inform you not to hesitate to seek advice from elders and utilize the useful ones. He said hopes and expectations are high, praying that heaven would back you up not to disappoint .”
The other Monarchs on the visit were, Aragbiji of Iragbiji Oba AbdulRasheed Ayotunde Olabomi , Owamiran of Esa Oke, Oba Adeyemi Adediran, Orangun of Oke,-Ila Oba Adedokun Abolarin, Olowu of Owu-Kuta Oba James Oyelude, Adimula of Ifewara , Oba Ezekiah Adeniyi and Alashipa of Asipa, Oba Muftau Babawale. They took turn to shower prayer on Governor Oyetola, praying God to grant him sound health to be able to fulfil his campaign promises for the state of Osun.
Responding, Governor Gboyega Oyetola thanked the monarchs for the visit and most especially their support at all times. He reaffirm that his administration is participatory as only the people’s requests for their respective towns will be followed strictly.
He added that Healthcare delivery which is a core policy of his administration is germane as it is the only way one can be useful for the society.
” In the light of this, we are renovating all the 332 Primary Health Care Centres across the state with free drugs for each ailments. This would be done with the state’s collaboration with the Federal Government”.
“On education, the most important aspect of human life is the foundation which is the elementary school, so I charged our parents and guidance to be alive to their responsibilities as bad behaviours corrupt good manners”.
Governor Gboyega Oyetola also solicited the support of the Royal fathers to assist in the security, by supporting the hunters, adding that it is our collective responsibilities to secure our land.
