The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has redeployed Air Commodore Precious Amadi as the new Commander of Air Task Force (ATF), Operation Lafiya Dole in Borno State.
NAF Director of Public Relations and Information, Air Commodore Ibikunle Daramola, announced this in a statement on Wednesday.
He explained that the posting was part of the redeployment of senior officers, in line with a routine exercise aimed at ensuring operational efficiency and effectiveness in the force.
Amadi replaces Air Vice Marshal (AVM) James Gwani, who has been moved to the Special Operations Command (SOC), Bauchi as Air Officer Commanding (AOC).
Also affected by the exercise is former AOC SOC, AVM Napoleon Bali, who is now the Chief of Policy and Plans (COPP), as well as AVM Paul Dimfwina who is now the Chief of Communication Information Systems (CCIS) at the NAF Headquarters in Abuja.
AVM Charles Ohwo has also been appointed as AOC Tactical Air Command (TAC), Makurdi, and AVM John Baba as Chairman Air Expo and International Liaison Secretariat (CAILS).
Others are AVM Idi Lubo as Director of Operations HQ NAF, AVM Christopher Umolu as Coordinator Project Implementation and Monitoring Team (PIMT) HQ NAF, and AVM Maxwell Nnaji as Director of Safety Manual, Defence Headquarters (DHQ).
Daramola said all appointments take effect from Friday, 19 July 2019.
