Opinion Poll: Nigerians Demand Sack Of Two Ministers From Ogun State
The majority of Nigerians who participated in an online poll want President Bola Tinubu to sack the Minister of Finance and Coordinating Minister of the Economy, Wale Edun and Minister of Environmental and Ecological Management, Dr. Ishak Salako.
Osun Defender reports that the poll was run by one Imran Muhammad on X (Formerly Twitter).
The voters were asked to vote for sack or continuity of each Minister with the following parameters of Keep, Sack, Swap and Neutral.
Osun Defender reports that the trio of Edun, Tijani and Salako are Ministers from Ogun State appointed by President Tinubu.
However, on the X handle, out of 921 Nigerians that voted under the poll for Wale Edun, 45 per cent voted in favour of the President sacking him, 42% voted for him to continue as Minister, 3% voted for his swap, and 9% stood neutral.
For the Minister of Environment, out of 322 Nigerians that voted under the poll for Salako, 81 per cent voted in favour of the President sacking him and 19% voted for him to continue as Minister.
However, on the Minister for the Minister of Communication, Innovation and Digital Economy, Dr. Bosun Tijani, out of 2569 Nigerians that voted under the poll for him, 47 per cent voted in favour of him continuing as Minister, 38% voted for him to be sacked and 15% stood neutral.
