The Chairman, Orolu Local Government, Hon Adekunle Benson, has charged youths and political party mobilisers to ensure peaceful coexistence and harmony among themselves and the entire people in the area.
Benson made this known at a meeting with youths and mobilisers organized purposely to mirror out strategies that would enhance peaceful coexistence among party members so as to deliver and win the council for the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the forthcoming governorship elections in the state.
The council boss stressed that the meeting was aimed at enhancing peace, unity and development among the people of Orolu, adding that it is important for whoever wish to continue witnessing and experiencing unprecedented developmental projects to support the continuity of APC government in the state
He said his major priority is to empower the youths through skills acquisition, job creations, empowerment, assisting women with soft loans to improve their businesses and harness the untapped abundant resources in the local government for its development.
According to him, “This government belongs to youths as recognised stakeholders in political circle and governance and is entrusted with ensuring peace and unity in their respective areas.
“It is very necessary to put heads together with youths to identify the challenges facing them in their various areas and find the lasting solutions accordingly”.
While speaking on behalf of the youths, the APC Youth Leader in Orolu Local Government, Mr Azeez Moruf (Dodo) promised that youths in Orolu would cooperate and support the council boss in all ramifications as well as the APC-led government to the extent that the party will be victorious in the forthcoming governorship election in the state.
