Osimhen, A Plus To Napoli’s Attack – Gattuso
Napoli Head Coach, Gennaro Gattuso, believes his side must play to the strength of new signing Victor Osimhen who gives the team plenty options in attack.
Gattuso, who was full of praises for the Nigerian who recently joined the club from Lille after the second official training session with him, admitted that the presence of Osimhen in his side gives them plenty of options in attack because of his physicality.
The former AC Milan midfielder stated that “Osimhen is a forward who gives us so many options in attack in terms of our style of play. We can try to play a more direct brand of football because he knows how to attack space, is physically strong, and will certainly help us out.
“Obviously, my staff and I have tactical ideas in our heads. We have quality players and we’ll analyze how the team will line up. We have to make sure we cover all areas of the pitch. You need to be motivated and also strike the right balance,” Gattuso stated from their training base in Castel di Sangro.
Osimhen has already begun to settle in nicely in his new club, having found the net on his first training as the club returns to the Europa League in the new season.
