Osimhen Gets Ex-Bayern Star Labbadia As Wolfsburg New Coach
Nigeria striker Victor Osimhen’s Bundesliga club Wolfsburg have appointed 52-year-old Bruno Labbadia as their new team coach.
Wolfsburg confirmed the appointment of Labbadia on their verified Twitter handle on Tuesday.
Labbadia who is a german but has Italian heritage, he replaces Swiss coach Martin Schmidt who resigned on Monday.
“Bruno Labbadia is the new head-coach of the Wolves. The 52-year-old has signed on until summer 2019 and will host his first training session today (Tuesday),” Wolfsburg wrote on Twitter.
Labbadia’s first game will be an away trip against Mainz 05 in a league clash on Friday.
During his playing career, Labbadia featured for Bayern Munich, FC Cologne, Werder Bremen and Hamburger.
And as a coach, he has handled Bayer Leverkusen, Hamburger, Stuttgart and Darmstadt.
