OSPOLY Directs Students To Shun Planned Nationwide Protest
The management of Osun State Polytechnic, Iree has directed its students not to participate in the planned Nationwide #EndBadGovernance protest scheduled to commence tomorrow, August 1.
The Dean, Students’ Affairs of the institution, Dr. Tope Abiola said this during a meeting at the NLH1, organized by the management of the institution for the Student Union Caretaker Committee, Departmental Executives, Faculty executives and other stakeholders in the institution.
Abiola who spoke on behalf of the institution’s Rector, advised students of the institution not to participate in the planned #EndBadGovernance Nationwide Protest, which is slated to commence from August 1 – 10.
He added that “students who may wish to join the protest should do so in their individual capacity, without any form of attachment or affiliation with the institution.”
He maintained that appropriate sanctions would be meted on anybody who involved himself or herself in the protest in the name of the Institution.”
Also speaking at the meeting were; Mr Bayo Fadeji, the polytechnic Director of Public Relations, Media and Protocol and Mr. Femi Olawoyin, they also enjoined the students not to involve in violent protest that could cause hazards to them or Mal the image of the polytechnic.
