OSPOLY Loses Applied Science Lecturer, Olumide
Members of the Osun State Polytechnic, Iree community, are in shock as the institution lost one of the lecturers in its Applied Sciences Department, Mr. Olumide Oyetade, today.
The President of the Faculty of Science Students Association (FASSA) of the institution, Ashiwel Samuel, confirmed the incident to Osun Defender, noting that Olumide died in his house in Ikirun.
Ashiwel said that, “He was in my class to lecture us yesterday, July 23, but I think he has certain health issues with his leg for some time, and he has also been absent from school for a while.

“He called my friend, that we should help him get some herbs, guava leaf specifically. Upon getting to his house, I met his lifeless body and his mourning family,” Ashiwel added.
Also, the Dean, Student Affairs of the polytechnic, Dr. Tope Abiola, who confirmed Mr. Olumide’s passage, stated that, “We learnt about his departure today, and it is really saddening because he was one of our brightest. He was hard-working and dedicated to imparting knowledge to students. Our prayer is with his friends and family.”
The late Olumide Oyetade is from Ode Omu, Osun State.
