OSPOLY New Students Resume Jan. 28, DPT Admission List Released

Management of Osun State Polytechnic, Iree has announced that the newly admitted students of the polytechnic would resume on Monday, January 28 for 2018/2019 Academic session.

This is just as it released the first batch of admission list for 2018/2019 Daily Part Time (DPT) programme.

This is contained in a release signed by Mr. Tope Abiola, the polytechnic’s Media Relation Officer on behalf of the institution Registrar.

The statement explained that all those who applied for Daily Part Time programmes should purchase the admission card of N900 only at OSPOLY Microfinance Bank Iree, its branches at Ayetoro, Osogbo and Isokun Round about, Ilesa to check their admission status.

The release then urged the students to pay their acceptance fee of N15,000 within the stipulated, starting from the day the admission list was released.

The management also stated that the Admission Application Form is still available for sale at the aforementioned bank at a sum of N10,000.

It also added that those who are interested in pursuing any National Diploma program in the institution can still obtain the form before the end of January, 2019.

Meanwhile, the Student Union Government and other affiliated students associations in the polytechnic have engaged the management of the institution for the total reversal of “obnoxious fee” introduced by the management.

This was contained in a release jointly signed by the faculties’ presidents, where the reasons for reversing the fee were stated.

In the statement, “We wish to reiterate our commitment and dedication to the welfare of students and we will continue to protect their interest”.

This was in reaction to the memo released by the management of the institution on the additional payment of N5,000 tagged “Late Payment” levied on students of the institution.

One of the affected students, Adedeji Ayomiposi explained that despite the irrelevant fee placed on students, which most of them find difficult to pay, the management has also decided to add to their burden.
