The Management of Osun State Polytechnic, Iree, has raised the alarm about the suspected presence of some Fulani Herdsmen in Iree, the host community of the institution, warning its students to stay indoors from 9:00 pm, as a security measure.
This was disclosed through a memo that was released today by the Registrar of the institution, Abiodun Oloyede.
Also, the Management of OSPOLY urged its students to watch their movement and not to stay outdoors later than 9:00 pm.

“The entire Polytechnic Community, especially Students are hereby inform to stay indoor anytime from 9:00p.m in Iree and its environs. This alertness and security awareness arose based on intelligence gathering from the Community on possible presence of some Fulani herdsmen which may likely pose possible security threat that is likely to endanger your movement.
“In view of the above alertness, Management wishes to advise students to ensure that they watch their movement and see that they stay indoor anytime from 9:00p.m. In case of notice of any security risk/threat in and around your hostels, please feel free to contact the Chief Security Officer of the Institution on this phone number: 07033166585 or 07034557451 for prompt and immediate assistance.
