Governorship candidate of the Action Democratic Party (ADP) in the September 22 election in Osun, Alhaji Moshood Adeoti, has cautioned electorates and political parties participating in the election not to see it as a do-or-die affair.
He stated this through a statement signed on his behalf by the media director of his campaign organization (MACO), Mr Kayode Agbaje, in his congratulatory message to the people of Osun on the celebration of the 27th Anniversary of the creation of the state.
According to him, there is need for candidates that will participate in the electoral process to shun violence and allow the spirit of brotherhood which will guarantee peace to prevail on the election day.
According to the ADP flagbearer, the celebration of the creation of Osun also calls for serious sober reflection and prayers on the part of all genuine lovers and stakeholders of Osun Project.
He noted that the need for prayers and sober reflection becomes necessary in view of the fact that the governorship election in the state is few weeks away.
“As one of the lovers and stakeholders of Osun Project, the need for prayers and sober reflections cannot be underestimated.
“This is in view of the fact that the governorship election in the state is just few weeks away,” Alhaji Adeoti stressed.
“I just want to admonish our people, especially those who would be participating in the electoral process on the need to shun violence, but rather allow the spirit of brotherhood which will guarantee peace to prevail on the election day,” he stated.
While congratulating all for witnessing another anniversary, he enjoined them to continue to be law-abiding and be optimistic that there is light at the end of the state’s political tunnel.
