Osun 2018: Aregbesola Harps On Peaceful Conduct As D-Day Approaches

Governor, State of Osun, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola has charged all stakeholders involved in Saturday’s governorship election in the state to eschew violence and embrace peaceful conduct throughout the process.

In a statewide broadcast on Friday, Governor Aregbesola stated that the beauty of democracy is free and credible elections which must be done in an atmosphere of peace and security.

He also read the riot act to individuals planning to perpetrate crime and other vices during the election noting that tight security is on ground to protect lives and property.

Ogbeni Aregbesola undescored the need for eligible voters to vote right and ensure competence, credibility and ability to perform remains their yardstick for choosing the candidate of their choice.

He praised President Muhammadu Buhari who visited the state on Tuesday for upholding the true tenets of democracy by ensuring a fair atmosphere for all gladiators.

The Osun Governor encouraged members of the public to vote wisely and report any case of security impediments to the necessary quarters.
