In preparation for Saturday’s governorship election in the state of Osun, group of men and women and residents of Ile Ife, under the aegis of the All Progressive Congress (APC), Ife Central branch, have begun campaign to mosques, churches, market centres and other strategic points across the ancient city in support of the APC governorship candidate, Alhaji Gboyega Oyetola.
The group, in their large numbers on Wednesday evening staged a mass rally at Ilode, Iremo, Lagere, Mayfair, Parakin and others to expand the frontiers of electioneering campaign for the candidate of the party among Ile Ife populace.
They sang solidarity songs in support of Oyetola throughout the procession.
An APC leader who fronted the campaign, Hon. Adetona Adedapo said the rally is meant to educate the populace on the need to vote Oyetola in as governor, whom they branded a better manager of resources.
Adedapo expressed that Oyetola is the best candidate to consolidate on the legacies of Aregbesola if elected governor.
