From the Tuesday conducted gubernatorial primary elections of the People’s Democratic Party, PDP, two candidates have emerged.
Prince Dotun Babayemi emerged as winner of the Wale Ojo led faction of PDP in Osun, while Ademola Adeleke emerged the candidate of the Sunday Bisi led faction of the party.
Announcing, the result of the Wale Ojo led faction which held at Wocdif centre, Osogbo, the Chief Returning officer, Hon. Adelani Ajanaku noted that Dotun Babayemi pulled 1781 votes.
Despite pulling out, Sanya Omirin pulled 16 votes, Akin Ogunbiyi 23 votes, Fatai Akinbade 28 votes and Dele Adeleke pulled 32 votes at the Wale Ojo led caucus exercise.
In the camp of the Sunday Bisi led faction, Sen. Ademola Adeleke won the primaries with 1887 votes, while Dele Adeleke got 2 votes, Fatal Akinbade 0, Dotun Babayemi 0, Akin Ogunbiyi 0, Omirin Sanya 4 votes, as announced.
