Osun 2022: SDP Aligns With Accord Party

The leadership of Social Democratic Party in the state of Osun has aligned and declared its support for Accord Party and Dr Akin Ogunbiyi, flag bearer of the party in the next month gubernatorial contest.

Members and leaders of the SDP, who were from all local government areas of the state, converged in Osogbo on Wednesday to officially endorse Ogunbiyi as their governorship candidate for July 16th 2022 election.

Speaking after the meeting, Elder Femi Awe, the party’s Chairman said, the decision of SDP members to be in collaboration with Accord Party in the Forthcoming Election is to join hands with Ogunbiyi to move Osun forward.

“He (Ogunbiyi) has solution to Osun problems”.

Elder Femi further explained that they would not be supporting Goke Omigbodun, “Omigbodun was only being planted by agents of other political parties to play a card using our intelligence, energy and sweat for their personal political gains”.
