Osun 2026: Accord Vice Chairman Backs Adeleke’s Re-Election Bid
The National Vice Chairman of Accord (Isaac Adeniyi faction) in the South West, Mogaji Igbinsola Paul, has expressed confidence that Governor Ademola Adeleke will secure a second term in office in the 2026 Osun governorship election.
Speaking in an interview with OSUN DEFENDER in Ibadan, Igbinsola said the governor’s performance and growing public acceptance across the state have strengthened his re-election prospects, insisting that opposition parties lack the capacity to unseat him.
According to him, Governor Adeleke has governed with humility and the fear of God since assuming office in 2019, adding that his achievements have made it difficult for critics to discredit his administration.
He said the party is working to strengthen its structures and resolve internal litigations through stakeholder engagements ahead of the election.
“If a leader is good, even his critics cannot overlook his sincerity and genuineness in governance,” Igbinsola said.
He described Adeleke as a man of the people whose administration is driven by service and performance, expressing optimism that the governor would emerge victorious in the 2026 governorship election.
