Osun 2026: ADC To Hold Primary December 10, Pegs Form At N30m

The National Working Committee (NWC) of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) has approved the guidelines for the conduct of the Osun State Governorship Primary election scheduled to hold on December 10.

According to a statement National Organising Secretary of the ADC, Prince Chinedu Idigo, aspirants under the party would obtain the Governorship Expression of Interest Form for N5,000,000.00 and Nomination Form by paying a non-refundable nomination fee of ₦25,000,000.00.

The party also said female aspirants would be issued the form without paying any amount.

Idigo noted that the sale of the nomination form would commence on Wednesday, November 12, 2025 and will end on Monday, December 1, 2025.

“Aspirants must be registered, card-carrying members of the ADC for at least two (2) years with fully paid membership dues.
New members seeking to contest must pay four (4) years of membership dues totalling ₦48,000.00 to obtain a party membership card, qualifying them to run on the ADC platform.

“Forms will be sold at the ADC National Secretariat. Nomination forms will only be issued upon presentation of proof of payment for: Membership dues, Expression of Interest fee and Nomination fee,” the statement noted.

The statement added that aspirants are to provide original tax clearance certificate, educational certificates, National Identity Card (NIN) or Certificate of State of Origin, Voters Card, ADC Membership Card, Receipt of payment for Expression of interest/Nomination forms and two recent passport photos.

The ADC noted that the screening of the aspirants would hold on Wednesday, December 3, at the national secretariat of the party.

The statement also said the delegates to form the state congress to elect the candidate of the party shall be made up as provided in ARTICLE 16 (11) of the Party’s constitution.

“The State congress to elect the governorship candidate shall comprise the following: The State Executive Committee as recognised by INEC, members of the National Executive Committee from Osun, five delegates per local government at least two must be women, one delegate from each of the 323 wards in Osun State,” the statement added.

The statement said delegates are to purchase forms with N5,000.00 from the state headquarters of the party between 4th and 5th December 2025, with the delegates’ election holding on 6th December 2025.

The ADC said it is committed to fairness in candidate selection with a free, fair, and credible indirect primary election on Wednesday, December 10, 2025, to select the governorship candidate.
