Osun 2026: Document Announcing Our Disqualification From APC Primaries Forged – Aspirant
- Says Cleared Female Aspirant Stooge For Oyebamiji
Babatunde Oralusi, one of the seven gubernatorial aspirants barred from contesting the primary elections of the All Progressives Congress in Osun State, has said the document which disqualified him was forged.
OSUN DEFENDER reports that Oralusi, alongside other aspirants, including former national secretary of the APC, Iyiola Omisore, immediate past deputy governor of Osun, Benedict Alabi, Osogbo-born lawyer, Kunle Adegoke SAN, former Senator, Babajide Omoworare, Prince Dotun Babayemi and Akin Ogunbiyi, were disqualified by the screening committee, who said the aspirants failed to meet some requirements.
The screening committee only cleared former member of the Osun State House of Assembly, Dr Mulikat Abiola Jimoh and former Managing Director of National Inland Waterways Authority, Bola Oyebamiji, who was said to have the backing of the Minister of Marine and Blue Economy, Gboyega Oyetola.
However, Oralusi, while appearing on Arise TV programme on Saturday, claimed that the document that came out was forged.
He also said Dr Jimoh was a stooge who will step down for Oyebamiji to emerge the candidate of the APC in the December 13 primary elections.
He said, “The report barring me from contesting the gubernatorial primary of our party was forged 100 per cent. I can say that categorically and I have evidence. The document that came out was not what the screening committee submitted. At the right time, it will be put forward.
“We, the aspirants, have a forum, and we met for almost three months and had consultations with the leaders; there was nobody called Mulikat during this period.
“Everybody knew about Mulikat a day before we bought the form. This Mulikat is a stooge of some group, and the game is very simple; two people are cleared, one person will withdraw on the last day, and the other person will emerge. Mulikat and the other aspirant are from the same camp.”
