‎In the build-up to the 2026 Osun governorship election, a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the state, Falilat Oyetunji, popularly known as Ero Arike, has issued a strong warning to party leaders and members, urging them to avoid repeating what she described as “past mistakes” in the party’s decision-making process.

‎In a viral video circulating on social media, Ero Arike, who has openly backed one of the party’s aspirants, Bola Oyebamiji, popularly known as AMBO, cautioned against endorsing questionable candidates ahead of the party’s primary election, warning that choosing the wrong flag bearer could spell disaster for both the party and the people.

‎“Don’t pick a murderer as a candidate,” she declared passionately.

‎ “It is better we learn from the previous incident. We will not mourn over our children. I can foresee what may happen if we don’t act wisely.”

‎Her warning comes days after she publicly criticized the APC leadership over alleged mismanagement of local government funds recently distributed across the state.

‎Ero Arike, who has become increasingly vocal in recent weeks, emphasized that integrity and accountability must guide the APC’s internal processes as it prepares for the 2026 governorship contest.
