Osun 2026: How I Sacrificed My Ambition For Oyetola In 2018 – Salaam
The Governorship candidate of the African Democratic Congress in Osun State, Dr. Najeem Salaam, has revealed how he dropped his ambition for former governor Adegboyega Oyetola in 2018.
Salaam said his respect for party supremacy made him jettisoned his governorship ambition for Oyetola and gave his support for his victory.
He made the revelation at the palace of Aragbiji of Iragbiji, Oba Abdur-Rasheed Ayotunde Olabomi, on Thursday.
“In 2018 i showed interest to contest the governorship seat but a dropped my ambition for Oyetola who is a son of this town after directive from our leader. I remember that the Aragbiji called me after Oyetola’s victory to appreciate me for my support. Today, I’m in Iragbiji to seek your support for the upcoming August 15 election,” he stated.
The Aragbiji in his remarks praised Salaam, describing him as a man of good character and well rooted in Osun politics as a former local government chairman and Speaker of the state House of Assembly.
