Osun ADC Lauds Mark, Aregbesola On Selection Of Female Deputy Governorship Candidate
Members of the African Democratic Congress in Osun State have lauded the National Chairman and Secretary of the party, Sen. David Mark, and Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola, for the choice of Mrs Temitope Yemisi Agiri as the deputy governorship candidate of the ADC in the August 15 election.
In a statement by Major R. A. Towobola and
Comrade Ekundayo Olatunde, the ADC members said picking Agiri as the deputy governorship candidate would ensure internal cohesion.
The statement read, “We are happy to note that the National Headquarters of our party African Democratic Congress ( ADC ) has uploaded Mrs Temitope Yemisi Agiri, as Deputy Governorship candidate of our party in the forthcoming gubernatorial election in Osun State.
“This is a welcome development that reflects the spirit of “give and take”, a necessary requirement in ensuring internal party cohesion.
“Our party’s governorship candidate Dr. Najeem Salaam, emerged from “Omoluabi progressive ” of ADC in Osun State, while the uploaded Deputy Governorship candidate, Mrs Temitope Yemisi Agiri, emerged from the PDP extraction ( Isokan) block of the Party, with appreciative goodwill endorsement among members in the Legacy ( Original ADC) extraction.
“The current step is in the right direction and we counsel that future party decisions in Osun State will take cognisance of our stand.

“The ADC has promised to protect the interests of all and sundry and in so doing, has observed gender sensitivity in this choice of deputy governorship candidate.
The party promises to continue in this stead.”
