OPERATIVES of the South-West Security Network codenamed Amotekun in the State of Osun, have arrested two suspected criminals who were said to be terrorising residents of Modakeke and its environment.
The suspects, Segun Ajayi, (27) and Sunday Adedoja (37) were nabbed with a dane double barrel gun in Modakeke, on Wednesday.
Confirming the arrest to the newsmen in Osogbo, Amotekun Field Commander, Capt. B.O. Akanni (Rtd), said the suspects have been terrorising the residents of Modakeke before nemesis caught up with them.
Akanni said: “Our men received information from concerned residents of Modakeke over the criminal activities of some criminal elements and our men swung into action and arrested the duo while armed with a dane gun and charms.
“The arrest was made possible by our operatives in Modakeke command who swung into action immediately after a complaint was lodged on the activities of the culprits.
“Investigation revealed that the suspects are ex-convicts”.
Akanni urged residents of the state to be security conscious of their environment and report any criminal hideout in their domains to the security agencies.
