Osun Amotekun Arrests Three For Allegedly Raping Minors

The Osun State Security Network Agency, codenamed Amotekun Corps, has arrested a 26-year-old man, Elijah Olawale, for allegedly having canal knowledge of his 9-year-old stepdaughter.

According to a statement by the Public Relations Officer of Osun Amotekun Corps, Idowu Yusuf, the incident happened at Ijebu-Ijesha, adding that the suspect’s wife reported the matter.

According to the statement, Elijah reportedly ‘confessed’ to defiling the girl.

In a similar case, Amotekun operatives arrested an indigene of Akwa-Ibom State, ThankGod Friday, for allegedly raping his employer’s daughter.

The 26-year-old labourer works on a farmland in the Modakeke area of the state, according to the statement, “confessed” to rapping the girl twice.

In a related development, the Amotekun Corps said its personnel arrested a 60-year-old man,
Adeleke Sodiq, who ‘forcefully’ had carnal knowledge a 6-year-old girl in Ode-omu.

The old man, according to the Amotekun PRO was caught in the act, adding that the suspect pleaded and confessed that it was his first time of perpetrating the act.

The Amotekun Corps Commander, Adekunle Omoyele reaffirmed the agency’s commitment to community safety and proactive intelligence gathering.

He urged residents to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activities to the nearest Amotekun command or relevant security agencies.

“We remain resolute in our mandate to secure lives and properties in Osun State.

“Let this serve as a warning to all criminal elements there is no hiding place. Every suspect arrested will be thoroughly investigated and charged to court accordingly,” he added.
