Osun APC Chairman Gets Board Appointment
The chairman of the All Progressives Congress in Osun State, Sooko Tajudeen Lawal has been appointed as the Board Chairman of the Federal College of Agriculture, Ibadan.
Lawal’s appointment came two weeks after President Bola Tinubu named several APC state chairmen as board chairmen of key federal institutions.
APC members in the state have decried the absence of Lawal’s name in the first set of appointments, with some attributing it to the relationship between the chairman and former National Secretary of the party, Senator Iyiola Omisore.
In a Facebook post by chieftains of the party in Osun, the APC chairman was seen presenting his letter of appointment to the Minister of Marine and Blue Economy, Gboyega Oyetola.
Nigerians and Osun people will be eager to see how the APC chairman, who has been conspicuously sidelined in the event of things within the party, will fare in his new appointment.
Lawal has been sidelined when it comes to speaking on issues concerning the Osun APC with chieftains like Prince Adebayo Adeleke (Banik), Sunday Akere, and Remi Omowaiye taking charge.
