Osun APC Congress: Court Adjourns To November 29th For Hearing

 

The federal high court sitting in Osogbo, has adjourned the case between The Osun Progressives, a faction of APC in Osun against the conducts of ward congress till November 29th this year for proper hearing on the matter.

 

This decision was made by the court on Monday at the resume hearing of the matter where the complainant informed the court the attitude of one of the defendants in the case who has been dodging the service of court process and which court later concluded that they should be served the notice of court proceedings through alternative means.

Recall that Osun APC Members stormed the Federal High Court, sitting in Osogbo, to challenge the Ward Congress of the party, held on July 31, 2021 in the state.

 

The APC members demanded for the cancellation of the Ward Congress conducted by the party through the Hon. Gbenga Elegbeleye-led committee.

 

Joined in the suit are the APC, Chairman, Caretaker Extraordinary Convention Committee of the party, Governor Mai Mala Buni, Chairman, Ward Congress Appeal Committee in the state, Amb. Obed Wadzani, Elegbeleye and the State of Osun chapter of the APC respectively.

 

It was gathered that court adjourned to 29th of next month to enable the defendants file their defence after they might have received the court notice through pasting and which they will have 30days to file their defence.
