Osun APC Disowns Member Who Called For Basiru’s Resignation

Members of the All Progressives Congress in Iwo Local Government have dissociated themselves from a call by one of the members of the party in the local government for the resignation of the National Secretary of the party, Senator Ajibola Basiru.

OSUN DEFENDER reports that one Olawale Apara had written an open letter, calling for Basiru to resign his appointment as the National Secretary of the party.

But the party in a statement by the chairman of APC in Iwo, Olaniyi James, rejects Apara’s claims, emphasising that he is not a member as he claimed.

The statement praised Senator Basiru’s dedication and commitment to the party, recognizing his valuable contributions as National Secretary of the party.

“The APC Iwo Local Government has issued a statement dissociating itself from a malicious write-up by Olawale Apara, who called for Senator Ajibola Basiru’s resignation as National Secretary of the party.

“The party rejects Apara’s claims, emphasising that he is not a member of the APC Iwo Local Government, as he alleged.

“The APC Iwo Local Government praises Senator Ajibola Basiru’s dedication and commitment to the party, recognizing his valuable contributions as National Secretary and former representative of Osun Central Senatorial District.

“The party urges its members and the general public to disregard Apara’s write-up and any other malicious publications that may be circulated.

“Furthermore, they warn individuals like Olawale Apara (who they claim uses a fake name) to cease writing derogatory articles that can cause disunity within the party and to stop using APC Iwo Local Government as their address, as they are not recognized members.

“The APC Iwo Local Government reaffirms its loyalty and commitment to the party, emphasizing its strong belief in the APC’s values and principles.”
