The All Progressives Congress (APC) in the state of Osun has embarked on a special prayer session in order to ensure a favourable judgment in the Osun governorship election petition filed by Osun PDP and its gubernatorial candidate, Nurudeen Ademola Adeleke at the Supreme Court, Abuja.
The prayer programme which was organised on Monday at the state party Secretariat of the APC in Osogbo, was attended by all the Local government Chairmen, councilors, state Exco members, local and wards chairmen as well as religious leaders and other dignitaries in the party.
While speaking, the party chairman in the state of Osun, Prince Adegboyega Famodun enjoined the people of the state and its environs to serve as watchdog in thier various environments and pray for peace to continue reigning in the state in order to enhance unprecedented developments.
Prince Famodun therefore, urged those who had plans to fan the embers of insecurity, kidnapping, ritual killings and other obnoxious activities to change and work for peaceful coexistence among the people of the state.
The party chairman therefore urged the people to continue to support Gov. Gboyega Oyetola who had begun well and still has much more to offer the entire people of the state.
According to him, “We believe in the power of prayer and our prayers had definitely been answered since the Almighty God is not unjust and cannot be; therefore, we are very optimistic that the judgment will favour us, as the entire people of Osun have spoken through their votes. Ours is victory and victory is guaranteed”.
While prayers were offered by the Islamic and Christian Clerics, the party chairman opined that “it is absolutely impossible for strangers or outsiders to be operating and perpetrating evils in the state of Osun without a hand of members of the communities in which they operate from”.
He therefore, charged all local vigilantes as well as security operatives to work assidously in collaboration with community leaders for the purpose of arresting the situation.
