Osun APC Primaries: IleriOluwa Agents Engage In Vote Buying In Ilesa

Agents of Governor Adegboyega Oyetola in Ward 4, Ilesa West Local Government area of the State of Osun on Saturday approached party members with ‘paltry sums’ to vote for the Governor.

It was gathered that the members who have hitherto planned to vote for Alhaji Moshood Adeoti, were double crossed with money ranging from N1,000 to N1,500 in N200 notes to vote for Oyetola.

Elsewhere in Ile-Ife, party members in all wards in Ife East Area Office were disenfranchised and chased from polling units by thugs wielding dangerous weapons.

The former Commissioner for Home Affairs, Culture and Tourism in Osun, Hon. Sikiru Ayedun told OSUN DEFENDER that in his ward, Senator Iyiola Omisore took over the process, stopped accreditation and sent supporters of Alhaji Adeoti away from the exercise, but allowed and counted members from the Governor’s group.

Ayedun said he had to leave the venue of the election after security advise as he was threatened to be attacked alongside the security personnel in the ward.
