The All Progressives Congress in the State of Osun has rejected the ruling of the Election Petitions Tribunal that declared the candidate of the People’s Democratic Party PDP, Senator Ademola Adeleke as winner of the 2018 Governorship election in the state.
In a statement on Friday shortly after two out of the three judges had ruled in Favour of Adeleke, the Osun APC Director of Research, Publicity and Strategy, Barr Kunle Oyatomi said the party is heading to the Appeal Court to seek redress.
After the verdict of the first two members of the Panel, the Chairman of the Tribunal disagreed with his colleagues noting that the grounds on which Adeleke was granted victory lacked constitutional merit.
The party and its supporters are upbeat about a twist of events at the Appeal Court.
Governor Oyetola and his Legal team have 21 days to Appeal today’s judgement.
