Osun APC Slams Adeleke’s Aide For Questioning Reinstated Chairman’s Visit To PHCs
The Osun State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has disclosed that the visit of the reinstated chairman of Ilesa East Local Government, Mr Lanre Balogun to some of the Primary Healthcare Centers in the area was his statutory job.
The APC said the alarm raised by Governor Ademola Adeleke’s Special Adviser on Health, Dr Akindele Adekunle, over the visits holds no water, accusing the former caretaker chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party in Osin of having no respect for the rules of law and challenging the authority of the chairman.
OSUN DEFENDER reports that Adekunle had raised an alarm over what it described as the illegal visit of the chairman to the PHCs.
Adekunle also alleged that the chairman, during his visit to the PHCs, went along with thugs who caused panic in the hospital.
But the APC, while replying to Adekunle in a statement by the party’s Director of media and information, Kola Olabisi, the chairman, had not done anything untoward or illegal by taking a hyperactive role in overseeing one of the government projects, the Healthcare Centres, in his domain.

The party said those described as thugs by the Special Adviser were the councillors at the local government, adding that Adekunle was risking being questioned by the Judiciary for calling the reinstated APC chairmen ‘Yes and No’ elected political office holders.
The statement further reads, “The alarm raised by Adekunle was a superfluity as the executive chairman of Ilesa-East Local Government Council Area had not engaged in anything untoward or illegal by taking a hyperactive role to oversee one of the government projects, the Healthcare Centres, in his domain.
“We sympathized with Adekunle and his co-travelers that the needless alarm that he raised that Balogun paid a working visit to the healthcare project pointed to the fact that he is still pained over the Court of Appeal judgment of 10th of February, 2025 that reinstated all the APC local government council chairmen and their councilors.
“We are not bothered that you mischievously described the councillors that accompanied the executive chairman to the project as ‘thugs’ in order to call a dog a bad name so as to hang it.
“We are not undaunted with the Adeleke man false alarm as his lies, as usual, could neither fly nor sit because of its unreliability.
“Dr. Adekunle should learn how to live with the reinstated local government council chairmen across the state as he would live to witness more of such supervision of the government projects by them across the
state.
“It is imperative at this juncture to remind Dr. Adekunle that he is risking being called to question by the judiciary for having the audacity to denigrate the elected council bosses as ‘Yes and No’ elected political office holders against the judgment of the Court of Appeal that legalized their reinstatement.
“We want to impress it on Dr Adekunle and his ilks that the reinstated council chairmen and their councillors have come to stay and that there is nothing they can do to frustrate the development with its full legal teeth.”
