Osun Assembly Aspirant Denies Withdrawal From Race
– Says He’ll Respect Outcome Of Primaries
An aspirant on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC), aiming to represent Ifelodun State Constituency in the State of Osun House of Assembly in next year’s general election, Hon. Adeshina Ganiyu Oyerinde popularly known as (BARU Omooninure), has denied withdrawing from the race.
In a statement from his campaign office in Ikirun, Adeshina said reports of his withdrawal from his race is untrue.
He expressed optimism in emerging at the primaries, noting that he is ready to abide by the rules of the party and the outcome of the intra-party election.
The statement said, “It has come to our attention that some information are circulating around about the purported withdraw of Hon Oyerinde Ganiu Adeshina ( BARU Omooninure) who is aspiring to represent Ifelodun Constituency at the Osun State House Assembly has withdrawn from the race.
“We will like to say categorically that Hon Oyerinde Ganiu Adeshina (BARU Omooninure) is very much in the race and we believed that the entire party leadership, members of APC Ifelodun Constituency will give him the ticket to flag the party flag in the end.
“Furthermore, we will like to put the record straight that Hon Oyerinde Ganiu Adeshina and his teeming supporters are law abiding citizens of the Federal Republic of Nigeria and that only recognized primary election will be accepted by us and nothing more.
“We hereby assure our supporters to be calm and continue in engaging the relevant party stalk holders, members and well-wishers in a civilized and acceptable manner while we believe that we will come out victorious.”
