Osun Assembly Deputy Chief Whip Bags Award For Community Development

The Deputy Chief Whip, State of Osun House of Assembly, Hon. Abidemi Gbenga Ogunkanmi has received Community Growth Award from the from the International Association of Lions Clubs of Osun Classic District 404 B2, Nigeria.

The award was presented by the District Governor, Lion Dr. Ademola A. Adesoye to the lawmaker in his office in Osogbo on Wednesday.

He described Hon. Ogunkanmi as a man who loves his community and remains dedicated to humanity, aims to promote dialogue and greater understanding for the development of the community.

He disclosed that the Lions Club selected Hon. Ogunkanmi for the award based on his contributions to worthy causes in the society.

He however, urged the lawmaker to continue doing his best for the development of his community and Nigeria at large.

On his part, Hon. Gbenga Ogunkanmi while speaking commended the club for promoting the principles of being good ambassadors of the country.

He said he’s being following the activities of the club and noted that the association is focused on community development and building of human resources in the country.

In attendance at the presentation were the Charter President, Lion Hajia Toyin Adesoye and other members of the club.
