The suspension earlier placed on the caretaker chairman of Ede South’s main local government, Lukman Afolabi, has been lifted.
The suspension was lifted on Thursday by the Osun State House of Assembly.
This was revealed in a statement by Olamide Tiamiyu, the Chief Press Secretary to the Speaker on Thursday.
OSUN DEFENDER had reported that Afolabi was suspended by the House of Assembly on Wednesday.
He was suspended for alleged misconduct.
Afolabi was instructed to hand over to his vice, however after an investigation, the suspension was lifted.
The House said, “The decision was taken after the parliamentary meeting of the Assembly today when the honourable members reviewed the investigations conducted.
“The Assembly has therefore recalled the Chairman to resume office with immediate effect.”
