Hajia Mulikat Abiola, Honourable representing Ifelodun Constituency at the Osun State House of Assembly, on Friday congratulated Governor Gboyega Oyetola on his victory at the Supreme court that declared him as the validly elected governor of the state.
Hajia Abiola in a congratulatory message she personally signed and made available to newsmen in Osogbo, commended the judges for the verdict just as she described the judgment as fair and conscientious.
She further explained that the court of appeal judgment and Supreme court judgement had vindicated the good people of Osun who trooped out en masses and cast their vote for Governor Oyetola during the September 22 and 27 gubernatorial election.
According to Hajia Abiola , “today’s victory has given us hope that judiciary is a place we can go to seek redress whenever we feel cheated.
“Court of appeal and Supreme court had vindicated our amiable Governor, Alhaji Gboyega Oyetola because people came out massively to cast their vote willingly for APC and Governor Oyetola during the September 22 and 27 governorship election.
“In fact, today is my happiest day as the verdict has vindicated us as patriotic citizens of the state and I give thank to God for making the will of the people to prevail. In fact ,this is a confirmation of the people’s mandate which was freely given to Governor Gboyega Oyetola
“I want to use this opportunity to extend my sincere appreciation to the people of Osun and Ifelodun local government in particular for their support since the time of election to this present time.
She therefore urged the Governor to embrace the loser and work together for the development of our state.
