THE newly elected members of the State of Osun House of Assembly have undergone a two-day Orientation Workshop in Lagos to prepare them for the task ahead after their inauguration into the house on June 5, 2023.
The orientation programme was organised for the newly elected Osun Assembly members and their counterpart from Ogun State by Kornda Adenauer Stiftung Foundation in collaboration with the National Institute for Legislative and Democratic Studies (NILDS).
Speaking with OSUN DEFENDER on the programme, one of the newly elected member from Ife North, Hon. Abidemi Oyewusi, said the workshop provided the intellectual and legislative foundation needed for the success of soon-to-be inaugurated assembly members in the state.
Oyewusi stressed that all sessions taken were legislative tools that will enhance functional legislation and foster good relationships with the executive arm of government.
He said: “The just concluded workshop has helped provide the intellectual and legislative foundation for the success of the soon-to-be-inaugurated assembly members of our dear state.
