Osun Attorney General Preaches Piety, Tolerance, Love As Ramadan Begins

 

The Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice in the State of Osun, Dr Ajibola Basiru has felicitated with Muslims all over the world on the occasion of Hijrah 1439AH Ramadan season.
Dr Basiru who congratulated members of the ruling All Progressives Congress APC and his pressure group, Osun Positive Force OPF stressed the need for adherents of Islam to remain pious, prayerful and tolerant of one another devoid of religious beliefs.
The statement released to newsmen in Osogbo on Thursday emphasized the need for Islamic faithfuls to optimize the season of sharing and giving to positively impact on the society especially the less privileged.
“As we all know, Ramadan is not all alone about fasting. It is by embracing piety and refraining from sins in whatever form. I therefore urge my fellow Islamic adherents to follow the true tents of the religion of peace.”
“I would also implore us to embrace the habit of steadfast worship and Love so as to enjoy from the full rewards from Almighty Allah (SWT),” Basiru posited.
“I would also want to admonish our party leaders and members to exercise patience and remain committed to the party irrespective of the party’s decision on our governorship candidate. I pray that may the Almighty Allah Grant Our Party success in the election.”
The AG implored members of both APC and OPF to remain steadfast in prayers for the country especially the State of Osun as it approaches its Governorship Election.
