Osun Babes FC has refurbished its Monthly Awards to give more opportunity to the club fans to determine the winner than ever before.
As part of the major rebuild, sportswear giant “Haggai” will be the Award’s title sponsor, which is no doubt is a pioneer in the country.
The Nigerian Women Premier league side introduced the player of the Month Award for its players in conjunction with Haggai Sportswear in a bid to motivate the club as they seek for a glorious 2017/2018 season campaign.
The monthly award will see the ‘Omoluabi Queens’ become the first top flight Women Football Club to reward its players monthly as the sponsors of the awards Haggai Sportwears will give out an Award Plague, a Tracksuit, Bag to the most outstanding player on the pitch each month.
The Chief Executive Officer of Haggai Sportswear, Paul Maduakor told Osun Babes Media that his company is poised to motivate the team in every way.
He said, ” We are pleased to be doing this with the Omoluabi Queens, as we have concluded that the fans of the club will determine the winner of the monthly award.
” We know what an award means to a player and that’s why we have come up with this idea and hope that it will keep making the players put in their best for each match. The award will see the winner walk away with a plaque, tracksuit, shirt, bag and also her bill board will be raised for the month. This is unprecedented and we shall not relent on this” He concluded.
Also speaking, club’s team manager, Kehinde Johnson lauded the move by the Sportswear company to fete the club’s best player every month saying that the gesture will go a long way in motivating the team to play better in the upcoming season.
” The monthly awards is important as it plays a critical role in motivating players to give their best, on the pitch and to also maintain high levels of integrity off the pitch. Johnson said
