The new Commissioner of Police in the State of Osun, Mr. Sunday Faleye, has promised to make the State a haven of peace with all the logistics available.
Faleye gave the assurance during a familiarisation visit to the Speaker, State of Osun House of Assembly, Rt Hon. Timothy Owoeye, at the Assembly Complex on Wednesday.
He stressed that the command would not relent in tackling crime and criminality headlong to keep residents safe as the general elections approach.
Faleye solicited the support of the House of Assembly to rid the state of criminal activities through effective legislative functions.
In his reaction, Owoeye wished the police boss well in the course of his duty and assured him of the 7th assembly support, irrespective of political affiliations in ensuring the sustainability of peace across the State.
He described residents of the State as peace-loving people, urging the commissioner of police to be focused regardless of insinuations in some quarters.
