QUALITY and exclusive reports have won two different awards for OSUN DEFENDER, the only newspaper in Osun State.
The newspaper shined and won big at the 2023 Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Osun Council Week, coasting home with Best Grassroot Reporter and Best Reporter (Print) of the year awards.
OSUN DEFENDER’s Yusuf Oketola was awarded Best Grassroot Reporter while Kazeem Badmus emerged Best Reporter.
The awards were presented to them yesterday at the NUJ Press Centre, Osogbo.
The awardees dedicated the award to Management and Staff of Moremi Publishing House, publisher of Osun Defender, just as they appreciated the NUJ for the honour.
They said the award will serve as motivation to continue putting in their best in the journalism profession.
