The State Government of Osun has urged all aspirants participating in today’s Governorship Primary Elections of the All Progressives Congress APC to be dutiful and eschew violence during the process.
This is contained in a statement at the end of the State Executive Council issued by Aregbesola’s Media Adviser, Sola Fasure.

AT THE END OF THE MEETING OF THE EXECUTIVE COUNCIL OF THE STATE OF OSUN, HELD AT THE BANQUET HALL OF THE GOVERNMENT HOUSE, OSOGBO, ON JULY 18, 2018, THE FOLLOWING HAS BEEN MADE AVAILABLE TO THE PUBLIC
- Council deliberated upon and approved a memorandum that requested the sum of N300 million be paid to Messrs Tecno-Katagum Construction Company Limited for the Completion of Osogbo City Stadium.
2. Council admonished its members and other All Progressives Congress (APC) party stalwarts contesting Friday’s primary election into the Office of the Governor to eschew politics of bitterness, blackmail, slander and character assassination but worked hard to sell their candidature to the voters.
Council required them to display the highest ideals of democracy and provide true democratic leadership for the people.
Council encouraged them to refrain from any action or utterances that will drag the government, the All Progressives Congress (APC) and its leaders (in the state and nationally) in the mud.
Council urged them to abstain from actions and statements capable of pulling down the house we have all laboured hard to build in eight years of meritorious service to the people.
Council enjoined them to put the people first before their personal ambition and never forget that it is God almighty that enthrones and dethrones as He wills.
Council wished them good luck in their endeavour.
Signed
