The Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice in the State of Osun, Dr Ajibola Basiru has felicitated with the Ataoja of Osogboland, Oba Jimoh Oyetunji Olanipekun Larooye II and the entire Osogbo community on the occasion of the 2018 Osun Osogbo Festival.
In a statement from his campaign office, the Attorney General said the annual festival of culture presents an opportunity for Osogbo to celebrate its rich cultural heritage which attracts attendance from all parts of the world.
Basiru congratulated the Ataoja, his chiefs, the Ataoja-in-Council, Osun worshippers and the residents of the town urging all to be peaceful and remain law abiding.
He assured that although the present administration is winding down, it will continue to support the Osogbo community in the attraction of dividends of democracy to the ancient town.
Dr Basiru however charged the celebrators, worshippers and residents to celebrate the festival with modesty and the sense of dignity the state capital and the state is known for.
