Osun Finance Commissioner Mourns Demise of Chief Ibrahim Inaolaji

….. says the country has lost an icon…

Osun Commissioner for Finance, Mr Bola Oyebamiji has commiserated with the sons and daughters of Ikire land and the entire state on the demise of the Mayegun Adini of Yoruba land, Alhaji Jimoh Ibrahim Inaolaji.

Mr Oyebamiji in a statement of condolence to the family of the late icon also commiserated with the governor of Osun, Mr Adegboyega Oyetola and the entire state on the loss of the philantropist who he said has contributed a lot to the development of the Osun.

Oyebamiji through the statement described the loss of Alhaji Inaolaji which occurred in the late hours of Monday as a huge loss to the entire state, stressing that the vacuum left will be a difficult one to fill.

The Baba Adini of Ansarudeen, Irewole local government explained that the elder statesman who passed on at the age of 86 was like a father to him as well as all sons and daughters of Irewole local government, describing the death as not only a loss to Ikire, but a loss to the state and the entire country as well.

Mr Oyebamiji then prayed for the repose of the soul of the late icon, while also praying that God should grant the immediate family of the deceased and the entire state of Osun the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.

According to the statement, “it is with great shock that I received the news of the passing on of a man who has played a huge role in my life, he was like a father to me just as he has also impacted the life of so many people in Irewole local government and the entire state.

“The demise of the Mayegun Adini of Yoruba land is a loss not only to Ikire and the state of Osun, but a loss to the entire country because he is a man who has contributed to the growth and development of our dear state and Nigeria.

“He was one of the founding fathers of the state of Osun, he loves the people and the state dearly and this showed in his determination to see that the state progresses at all times, sincerely we have lost an icon.

“He will be greatly missed, I will personally miss him because I have always drawn from his wealth of experience, I have learnt so much at his feet and was only previledged to have met and known such an icon closely.

“It is my prayer that God will grant the immediate family as well as all sons and daughters of Ikire and the state of Osun the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss of this great man who has written his name in gold in the history of Nigeria.

“I pray that the almighty Allah forgive his excesses and grant him Aljana Fridous”. Oyebamiji stressed.
