The Government of the State of Osun has reopened the Inisha Town in Odo-Otin Local Government of the State of Osun, Central Mosque, following the ongoing peaceful resolution of the crisis that plagued the community.
Recall that Osun Defender had earlier reported Osun government ordered an indefinite closure of the Mosque to prevent the possibilities of an intra-religious or communal crisis in the Town.
It was gathered that Osun Government shut the musque following the death of three Chief Imams of the Central Mosque of the town.
Osun Defender gathered that the three Imams died in quick succession, raising suspicions that they might have lost their lives to the spiritual battles over the Chief Imam post.
However, Osun Government in a statement by the Deputy Chief of Staff to the Governor Prince Abdullah Adeyanju Binuyo, announced the reopening of the musque on Friday.
He said worshippers can now congregate at the Mosque for their Juma’at and Eid prayers.
Binuyo said government hopes that the community will justify the confidence reposed in it, to allow peace to continue to reign.
