The Senior Special Assistant to Governor Adeleke of Osun State on Civil Society Organization, Emmanuel Adebisi has been accused of embezzling a substantial support fund intended for the late singer Aloba Ilerioluwa, widely known as Mohbad.
The controversy according to information gathered by OSUN DEFENDER has sparked demands for transparency and accountability.
The medium learnt that Osun State government had displayed its support and respect for the late singer by allocating a generous sum of N1,000,000 to the Committee for Osun Justice for Mohbad.
This fund was intended to facilitate the organization of a fitting farewell procession in honor of the deceased.

However, conflicting reports emerged as the Committee claimed that Adebisi had only contributed fifty thousand Naira and ten packs of bottled water towards the event as personal support.
In response to the revelation, the Committee swiftly returned the fifty thousand Naira, expressing their shock at the vast disparity between the reported contribution and the allocated state funds.
The Chairman leading the Committee for Justice for Mohbad, Alabi James has now called for a thorough and open investigation into the alleged embezzlement.
He strongly insists on the need for Adebisi to refund the misappropriated funds. Furthermore, Mr. James has urged Governor Adeleke to distance his government from individuals like Adebisi, whom he considers detrimental to the government’s reputation and the youth of Osun State. This controversy raises questions about transparency and accountability in government support for cultural events.
