Osun Govt Announces Prince Jokotola Olayinka As New Olujudo of Ido-Osun

The Osun State Government has officially approved the appointment of Prince Jokotola Olayinka Tunde as the new Olujudo of Ido-Osun in Egbedore Local Government Area of the state.

In a statement on Friday by the Commissioner for Information and Public Enlightenment, Oluomo Kolapo Alimi, noted that Prince Tunde’s appointment was in strict to the adherence to the provisions of the 1956 Registered Declaration, which stipulated that it was the turn of the Adenko Ruling House to occupy the stool.

The selection process, according to the statement, followed due process and complied fully with extant laws.

The state government congratulated the new traditional ruler and enjoined him to prioritize the peace, unity, and development of Ido-Osun while contributing to the overall progress of Osun State.

Meanwhile, Governor Ademola Adeleke, during the State Executive Council meeting where the appointment was approved, urged council members to sustain their efforts in delivering on the administration’s five-point agenda.

“We are receiving praises from far and near, but the price for hard work is more hard work. We must sustain and even increase the tempo of our delivery. All eyes are on us, and we must not fail the people of Osun,” the governor said.

The council meeting was attended by the Deputy Governor, Prince Kola Adewusi; Secretary to the State Government, Hon. Teslim Igbalaye; Chief of Staff to the Governor, Hon. Kazeem Akinleye; and other cabinet members.

Prince Jokotola Olayinka Tunde succeeds the late Oba Aderemi Adedapo and is expected to bring growth, peace, and unity to Ido-Osun during his reign.
