The Chairman of the Osun State Teaching Service Commission, TESCOM, Comrade Temitope Mustapha Adeyemi, has assured teachers in the service of the State of the commitment of the State Governor, Senator Ademola Adeleke, to the welfare of teachers and advancement of education in the state.
Comrade Adeyemi made this assertion at the meeting of all Principals of Public Secondary Schools held at the ANCOPS Secretariat Event hall Osogbo, Osun State on Tuesday.
OSUN DEFENDER reports that the meeting was put together by the Osun West, East and West Education District Offices to prepare principals ahead of the resumption of schools in the state for a new academic session.
The chairman informed the gathering that Gov Adeleke has approved the relocation of the Commission to a permanent office complex within few weeks of his resumption in office. He maintained that teachers will be one of the biggest beneficiaries of the Adeleke administration.
According to the Chairman, “Very soon, we will recruit teachers to fill the gaps in our various schools, the Commission will also be embarking on training for the teachers to enhance their capabilities. The Governor is also carefully thinking through palliative measures for all categories of workers in the state to help ease the burden of subsidy removal on teachers”.

He charged them to be committed to running the schools under them with full commitment and total dedication so as to turn around the standard of education in the state.
